It Was the Worst of Times, It Was the Best of Times
Late Bloomer. That was what France was in tonight's match against England. For the first 90 minutes I was bored to death waiting for Henry's performance. France made a scare for the first few minutes when Zidane, Vieira and Henry made attempts to score. After that all I watched was lukewarm performance from France. Lampard woke me up in minute 38 when he scored the goal. Beckham thought he would have saved England from the penalty but he was denied the glory. I was prepared to be disgusted with France when Zidane made a free kick and scored! Right....an equaliser. And then .... David James made the mistake of being too eager to save the ball and bumped into Mr Thierry Henry. Hey presto! A penalty kick granted to the Blue-jerseyed team. Eheh. At least you contributed something to the game Mr Henry Sir! 2-1. And congrats to Miss Nagakayu for winning the bet. So call the guy already!
