There's nothing like the sweet smell of blitzed pineapple cooked with a dash of lemon and cloves. It invokes a sense of serenity, coupled with dribbling drool. And what makes it that much better is the realization that he was willing to stay up for 4 hours to finish the concoction only to wake me up when it was ready.

I only hope that the people its meant for will appreciate it as much.

At the dining table during iftar

Me : Apsal tanak makan lauk tu? It's only a day old.
Him: Entahlah. Bila tak fresh je susah nak lalu.
Me : Kenapa plak? Bukannya basi.
Him: Tah....tekak ni bila makanan tak fresh lalu dia mesti cakap "Excuse me..."
